WORK EXPERIENCE
Kohl's, Assistant Designer - Men's Sonoma Knit Tops and Sweaters (2025- Present)
I currently have ownership for design in the men's sweaters category of Kohl's private brand, Sonoma. I also assist our Associate Designer with Sonoma Men's Knit Tops. In this role I am responsible for researching trends and competitor brands to create styles that fill our assortment plans while fitting the needs of our customer. I also collaborate with vendors on developing samples, knit downs, and other submits. I am also responsible for advocating and presenting research based design choices to our merchants and leadership.
Kohl's, Assistant Designer - Home/Living (2024-2025)
During my time on the home team at Kohl's, I learned to work in OnePLM to request samples and create new styles within the program. I worked heavily in Adobe Illustrator to create tech pages that were sent to vendors to create samples. I also reviewed samples and worked with vendors to ensure our samples were production ready.
Lands' End, Menswear Design Intern (2023)
At Lands' End, I researched the brand's target market, competitors, and the upcoming trends. I used this research to create innovative designs for future seasons. I produced technical flat sketches and technical packets that were sent to our vendors. I was heavily involved with providing strategic feedback during fit sessions. My work at Lands' End included working in software applications like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Browzwear, IPLM, Miro, and Microsoft Excel.
DSG Outerwear, Apparel Design Intern (2022)
At DSG Outerwear, I worked heavily in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro to create mood and trend boards, technical flat sketches, and feature videos. I also worked in Microsoft Excel to create technical packets. At DSG Outerwear, I was able to combine my creativity with my technical design style to produce innovative, functional, and adaptable products.
